About us . . .
About Our Services…
During worship we attempt to blend the best of historic and contemporary worship expressions. We focus on Jesus. He is the one who matters. Our gatherings express who we are as an eclectic, authentic, welcoming congregation, seeking to give the Lord our best in life and worship.
(Vision: a picture of a preferable future)
Everything about us is about Jesus (Colossians 1:16). In obedience to him, we at River of Grace are trying to live to make more Christians and better Christians (Matthew 28:19-20). This is our vision.
(Mission: the way we go about getting the job done)
We say that “River of Grace is a missional church community committed to making disciples”.
- Missional is being Jesus in our world (1 Peter 2:12), and speaking Jesus to our world (Acts 1:8).
- Community is creating an accepting, loving, caring environment centered on Jesus
(Hebrews 10:24-25) - Discipleship is facilitating mentoring relationships that promote maturity in Christ (2 Timothy 2:2). Our discipleship focuses on the head (knowledge), heart (character), and hands (skill).
About Our Leadership…
We practice a leadership strategy that entrusts
to the Eldersthe authority for
overseeing the church.
Our
Elders have delegated ongoing leadership to full-time pastors
who are called, gifted and trained. Specific ongoing ministry
oversight is delegated to both paid staff and volunteer ministry
leaders.

Don’t let the order scare you. We start where people are at, and use the sacred text of the Bible to learn/teach about God and the mission he has for us.
Everyone matters,
belongs, and contributes.
Scripture reveals, guides and inspires.
God is trusted, served and enjoyed.
Mission adapts, sacrifices, and endures.
As described on the home page, The River of Grace is young, multi-generational, evangelical, historic, multi-denominational, curious, devoted, imperfect, biblical, spiritual, broken, hungry and most of the time fun. But RoG is also a “merged” church. In October of 2005, two different congregations came together to form RoG. Grace Bible Fellowship had been in existence since the early 90’s and The River Church was started in 2002. But we can do more together than we can do apart, and since Jesus wants his church family to be united, well it made sense. You’re welcomed to join us as we journey into the history God is writing through us.
This could be stated in three words: Changing, Sharing and Serving. This mission is rooted in Romans 12 and is our way of trying to get the job done.
