 Hosting Program
Five weeks, this summer
- RoG's Orphan Ministry is partnering with Wide Horizons (www.whfc.org) and Kidsave (www.kidsave.org) in an effort to bring orphans from a Colombian orphanage to NH to live with host families. The ultimate goal is to find forever homes for all of them.
- For these kids between the ages of 6 and 12, we are looking for:
- host families, financial help, prayers, volunteers, people that want to help with translation, fundraising and organizing activities
- if you
decide to host: you may be the one to adopt or you may choose not to. Financially: this is not a free program but we are already starting fundraisers to help defray some of the costs.
(without hosting programs, these older children would remain in the orphanage
throughout their childhood, then be "released" into the world on their own;
statistics show that one in ten of these children will commit suicide; many will end up incarcerated,
many others will become victim to prostitution)
- An informational meeting was
held at CCA, Sunday, January 25th.
- A Sock Hop fundraiser was very successful this spring.
